Defender utility
Texas defenders and multi-state firms: this is an anti-recognition / anti-enforcement statute, not a new disarmament charge against the client. If LE or a court tries to serve a foreign or federal-style ERPO in Texas, demand the Texas-law authorization and separate ordinary DV/family protective orders (still live) from prohibited ERPOs. Portable contrast for CA GVRO calendars (AB 1753 peer watch) — Texas posture is the opposite of CA red-flag expansion.
Who this is for. TX defenders and multi-state firms on ERPO service attempts; CA PDs as contrast card next to GVRO/AB 1753 — not a California charge.
